# PXL: Prototypes are easy. Production is the work.

> PXL is a Cape Town software studio. We engineer web platforms, AI systems and integrations for clients, and launch our own products in PXL Labs.

## Two engines

- **PXL Solutions** (client work): Web platforms, AI systems and integrations from a Cape Town studio. Every build starts as a fixed-scope, two-to-four-week Pilot Sprint with one measurable goal. [Solutions](https://pxl.services/solutions)

- **PXL Labs** (our own products): PXL Labs is where the studio builds its own products: Mako, pxl-stack and Baken. Each one carries an honest status, from internal tool to public prototype. [Labs](https://pxl.services/labs)

- Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce

## How we work

01. **Scope** (30 min, free): A call to find the one workflow worth fixing first, and the number that says it worked.
02. **Pilot Sprint** (2–4 weeks): One workflow, one metric, fixed scope. You see the number move before anything scales.
03. **Build** (Scoped): The platform or system, built properly: tested, reviewed, documented, handed over.
04. **Run** (Optional retainer): Monitoring, improvements and new workflows, month to month.

## The studio

PXL is run by Luka Barbosa, who studies Physics and Computer Science at UCT and is on the Dean's Merit List. Physics trains you to model a messy system, measure it, and distrust your first answer.

PXL takes on a small number of client builds each quarter, scheduled around a full academic load. Fewer projects, done properly.
